Research Interests
My areas of research are neurophysics and theoretical and computational neuroscience. I apply analytical techniques borrowed from nonlinear dynamics and statistical mechanics, as well as extensive numerical simulations, to study the behavior of large neuronal networks and systems. Specifically, I am interested in synchronization of networks coupled by chemical and electrical synapses, propagation of waves and pulses in cortical tissues, and information processing in the whisker somatosensory-motor system of rodents.
