My current research interests include: Seismically induced liquefaction of saturated sands; Stability of underground openings in discontinuous masses; Seismic instability of discontinuous rock slopes; Mechanics of weak sedimentary rocks; Mechanics of rock discontinuities. Research consists of elaborate mechanical testing, analytical and numerical analysis
