Research Interests
My research focuses on regulation and mechanism of action of ion channels and transporters. I studied calcium and potassium channels as well as purinergic receptors in epithelial and neuronal cells. Recently, I am concentrating on mechanisms regulating calcium channels in the cardiovascular system. Together with cardiologists, my laboratory investigates molecular mechanisms of cardiac arrhythmias from the gene level to the living animal and humans.
