This museum and book are dedicated to my late parents, Nissan Rosenberg and Tamara Shifman Rosenberg that gave me life and love, striving to teach me absolute commitment, perseverance and resilience together with courage and humility. They tried to give me the eye for all that is beautiful and the insight that I am a dwarf but an omnipotent dwarf, standing on the shoulders of giants that stand tall on layers upon layers of human history, achievements and failures, all equally magnificent and beautiful. To my children and grandchildren: pardon me for all time that I was not with you, please take this museum (and all my other achievements) as a modest token for the eternal LOVE I have for you All.

I would like to thank Mr. David Bevan FBIDST from the late Downs Surgical London who put me on the tortuous path of the history of medical instruments, revealing the small details that made old, rusty iron into an historical exhibit and a fascinating story. He helped arranging the exchange of my royalties for “Downs’ old irons” that were on their way to be smelted, the wealth of the original prototypes and patterns of many of the instruments we are still using.
I would like also to thank Prof. Shifra Shvartz that contributed chapters 1-5 in “Medicine in Early Israel” 3ed. Floor and was a scientific advisor for many of the items.
