TCUP — Tissue Classification for Cancer of Unknown Primary is an open-access, free-to-use web app that predicts the tissue of origin for metastatic or CUP samples using RNA-seq data. Simply upload a transcriptome file, choose a reference cohort, and receive an interpretable result.
What you’ll find inside
Highly accurate calls – Posterior probabilities for every tissue class plus the top-ranked label, its absolute probability, and TCUP’s benchmark accuracy.
Transparent explanations – Interactive bar chart and a ranked list of the 20 gene ablations that most influenced the prediction, with z-scores and p-values (p < 0.05; **p < 0.01; **p < 0.001).
Robust preprocessing – Automatic imputation of missing genes with cohort-median values ensures usability for both single-sample and multi-sample inputs; interpret results with caution when extensive imputation is reported.
Smooth user experience – Each sample is routed through a deep-learning pipeline; processing may take a couple of minutes—perfect time to grab a cup of tea. ☕
