The Physician as Artisan - Chapters in the History of Medicine from Antiquity until the Renaissance
The museum is based on The Rosenberg Collection established in 1980 by Professor Lior Rosenberg, head of the Plastic Surgery Department at the Soroka Medical Center in Beer Sheva. The collection includes more than 5,000 items, among them medical instruments and tools, engravings and books, masks and votives. The various stages in the development of medicine are dramatized through the use of a selection of these items, illustrations, slides and photographs.
