Sometimes the problem is not the contents of the instruction manual, it's how the manual is being read; after all, a cell's character is defined not by the contents of the genome, but by which pieces are being used (expressed). Sometimes, knowing which pieces are being expressed can tell us what the cell is. In this module we survey the most medically relevant of these.
